The fans are expecting Michael Skibbe to bring as much success

The fans are expecting Michael Skibbe to bring as much success to Greece as his compatriot Otto Rehhagel did.

Rehhagel proved to be one of the best coaches in the history of Greece soccer before quitting in 2010.

He worked with the national side for a period of almost 10 years and unearthed many young talents and not only did he unearth them; but, developed them quite well too.

There would be a lot of Greek players who would say that they owe their careers to that legendary coach.

But, since the time Rehhagel left, the Greek association has struggled to find another one like him.

SinišaMihajlović is targeting a top 3 finish in his first season in charge of Ac.Milan

The pre-season journey of Ac.Milan has seen them claiming triumphs over Reggiana, Alcione, Legnano and Inter Milan but also sustained a few loses after facing off with Real Madrid and Olympiaque Lyon.

It’s been a fairly positive pre-season for the Italian side even with their defeats as SinisaMihajlovic took charge of Ac.Milan less than 2 months ago and it already seems like the Serbian manager has a plan on how to turn Ac.Milan into the powerhouses they used to be some time ago.

Despite having tough competition in the midfield, Carrick isn’t leaving United

Michael Carrick is 34 years old and he was rumored of exiting Manchester United and joining another club but it seems like the veteran midfielder will not be leaving the Premier League club anytime soon.

Juan Mata, MarouaneFellaini, Ander Herrera, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin are all of the competition that Michael Carrick will be facing for a spot in the midfield of Manchester United but despite being older than everyone else, Carrick is relishing being able to compete against all of these players for a spot in the team.

Manchester United is preparing for life without David de Gea

David de Gea is undoubtedly the best player in Manchester United but not only in Old Trafford, the Spanish shot-stopper has made so many impressive performances in the past few seasons that it’s hard to dispute this fact.

Real Madrid is in search of a goal-keeper who can replace their talismanic IkerCasillas and David de Gea seems to be the perfect candidate to fulfill this role.

Olympiacos win their 5th successive Greek Super League title

There still are matches remaining in the Greek league but it doesn’t matter as Olympiacos managed to claim their 42nd domestic crown.

The Spanish League, La Liga is considered to be a 3 horse race with only Real Madrid, Barcelona and Athletic Madrid being the only clubs in the top tier league of Spain that have a true and genuine chance of emerging as champions but similar things are occurring in Greece as Olympiacos have dominated the past years.

Yokohama Rubber replaces Samsung as new Sponsor for Chelsea

Samsung have sponsored Chelsea since 2005 and the Korean giants decided to re-new a new deal with the Premier League club in 2013 which was believed to be worth around 18 million pounds. Yokohama Rubber has replaced Samsung as Chelsea has announced that they have made an agreement with the Japanese tire company which will start in the next season and extends for 5 years.

This new deal with The Japanese Rubber Company Limited is worth around £40 million each season which falls a bit short of Manchester United’s deal with the car manufacturer Chevrolet that is valued at £47 million.
