McCoist recieves surprising criticism

Ally McCoist has become the face of a controversial Rangers team that has been facing numerous problems in the last few years. The manager, though, has done exceedingly well to get to the club just one place below the Scottish Premier League after two consecutive promotions. They are looking set for yet another promotion in the coming campaign. This would put them back at the top of the pile, which is something that not many fans would have imagined when the club went into the administration a few years ago. Despite the good work, McCoist has received a lot of criticism from the fans in recent times.
Rangers have had some embarrassing defeats against lower opposition even with the strength in depth of the squad. The club has just managed five wins on the bounce this season and are sitting second in the Championship just one point behind leaders Heart of Midlothian. McCoist has been confident of getting the club back into the Premier League in this campaign, as he does not want to stay in the Championship for another year. He has also finally said that he does not plan at leaving Rangers anytime soon, but if he does so, it will be on his call.
Rangers received a recent injection of £ 3.5 million cash that put the prospect of another administration away. “Everybody has a cut off point, there is no doubt about that. There is absolutely no doubt that time will come – 100 per cent it will come. I can’t give you a timescale but I can tell you right now it will come. I might not get the opportunity to let it come. But I understand exactly what Gordon and Neil have said and do say. That is not the point I’m trying to make. “It’s the spotlight you are under, definitely,” said McCoist.
