John Terry’s 22 year stay in Stamford Bridge is reaching it’s end

John Terry has recently confirmed his decision to make his way out of Chelsea after having spent 22 years in Stamford Bridge helping the English club in lifting many pieces of silverware along the way.

At the age of 36, John Terry just can’t perform in the same way as he used to do a few years ago and the arrival of Antonio Conte as the new head coach of Chelsea has also hampered the influence of the English defender as he has made less than 10 appearances in this current season.

"After 22 years there is so much to say and so many people to thank at this great football club. From coaches, teammates and staff to the fans who have given me so much support down the years, I can't thank you enough. There will be opportunities for me to speak further about this over the coming weeks’’

"The club and I have always had a fantastic relationship, which will continue beyond my playing days. We had some really positive talks but with everything taken into careful consideration I have decided it's the right time for me to leave. I've always been conscious that I depart at the right time, in the right way, and I feel that the end of this season is the right time for the club and me’’.Chelsea’s iconic John Terry said as he confirmed his choice to move away from his traditional club.

The 2016-17 season of the Premier League will be finalizing on May 21 of 2016 and it will be a very special date for John Terry as it’s also the last league match of Chelsea as they are scheduled to face off with Sunderland. It’s going to be the last game of the season of John Terry wearing the blue jersey.
