Best Performance Yet

Paniliakos played well in their latest friendly, but even that couldn't stop them from being defeated 3-1. Whilst the scoreline tells its own story, it was a much better performance by Paniliakos, who deserved more from the game.

Paniliakos faced their strongest opposition of the season in the friendly, against Super League team Levadiakos at the Municipal Stadium Livadia.

The scoring opened in 13th minute with Ilia grabbing an early goal. Barely had kick-off been taken before Zoroudi managed to find the net with a great header, hitting the ball in off the right goalpost to and into the back of the net.

Levadiakos doubled their goals tally just three minutes later , with Sanchez passing to Bountopoulo and the talented Italian chipping the goalkeeper. The Reds cut the deficit to just one goal on 33 minutes when Thoniati scored a penalty, awarded after a push and shove in the box on Tomaras.

The teams battled hard, and Paniliakos came close to equalising on a number of occasions before Levadiakos put the game beyond doubt two minutes into injury time.
